| Ascot Way 3, Accrington - Main Bathroom
This is
our third house in the same street! Having been recommended by
previous customers (see here and
here) we were invited to provide a
quotation for the renovation of the main bathroom having already
completed the addition of a cloakroom WC to the upstairs of the
property (see here).
Our homeowner was clear on one thing - the bath had to go!
We suggested putting a large offset quadrant shower enclosure
against the door wall, freeing up space along the old bath wall to
put a vanity sink (which meant a mirror could go above).
Replacement of the WC with a newer "Back to wall" style WC (where
you cannot see the pipe-work behind) combined with fully tiling
should mean that the room is easy to care for.
Whilst on site we also installed a cloakroom WC upstairs,
replaced the consumer unit (fuse box) with a new RCD protected model
and added earth bonding to the property's gas and water supplies.
AWI designed, supplied, specified and installed this bathroom.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor
covering
- Re-plumbing to support the new layout
- Ceiling clad with white PVC gloss ceiling panels
- Installation of low energy central light fitting
in chrome
- Installation of extractor fan ducted outside,
switched independently of the lights
- Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
- Floor fully tiled (porcelain tiles)
- Installation of the new bathroom suite including
shower enclosure with Mira Escape Thermostatic Shower (much nicer
alternative to the "white box"), back to wall style WC,
vanity basin with lit mirror shelf above and heated towel rail
