Having been recommended by another customer
(see here for more information), we were invited to provide a design
for a wet-room which would be accessible to a wheelchair to allow a
disabled family member to once again enjoy a shower.
We removed the bath, cut into the floor and laid a wet-room
former from Contour Showers. The WC was altered again to sink
the waste pipe into the floor to allow for a raised height, back to
wall pan which would make access easier whilst keeping cleaning to a
minimum by doing away with the space behind.
The room had always been dark being a central room in a bungalow
so we proposed installing a Velux Sun Tunnel which "pipes" light in
from outside - you can see just how effective this is in the
pictures below. Something our client was overjoyed about.
