Main Bathroom An old and tired bathroom which had
suffered a conservatory....to explain, when the conservatory was
added it affected the soil pipe outside which meant that it had to
be re-plumbed - hence the long orange pipe behind the WC.
Our customer had already done all of their research and had
visited a number of bathroom outlets and chosen one local supplier
overall. This had helped them to design and select the items
they required to fit with a key goal of losing the bath which they
never used and gaining a large shower enclosure.
The only problem with this vision was a doorway! In the end
we demolished the whole landing/bathroom dividing wall and re-built
it with the door completely to the right hand side (when viewed from
outside) rather than the center.
Whilst working on this job we also co-ordinated the conversion of
the central heating system to a combination boiler, the installation
of which was handled by our CORGI registered partner
AWI installed this bathroom.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor
covering
- Demolition of the landing/bathroom dividing wall
- Re-studding of the wall including hanging a new
door
- Plastering of the outside wall ready to receive
decoration
- Re-plumbing to support the new layout
- Installation of PVC ceiling cladding
- Installation of 4 * IPX4 SELV chrome
down-lighters
- Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
- Floor fully tiled (porcelain tiles)
- Installation of the new bathroom suite including
large quadrant shower enclosure, thermostatic shower, wall hung basin, WC, towel radiator and
accessories
