Reduced mobility due to arthritis meant this this elderly customer had to modify their bathroom to continue practical use.  They asked us to provide a design which would allow them to continue to be independent whist maintaining a sensible budget.

We suggested a large quadrant shower enclosure with low tray height, a fold-down seat and grab handles to aid stability.

Having now used the room, our customer is more than happy with the end result and the difference it has meant with regards to continued independence.

AWI designed, specified, supplied and installed this bathroom.

From start to finish the job included:

• Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor covering
• Installation of PVC ceiling cladding
• Installation of 4 * IPX4 SELV chrome down-lighters
• Re-plumbing including provision for the new shower
• Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
• Floor fully tiled (porcelain tiles)
• Installation of the new bathroom suite including large quadrant shower enclosure, electric shower, folding shower seat, grab handles, basin, WC, towel radiator and accessories
