| Fog Lane, Didsbury -
Kitchen Following recommendation from their sister who
we have worked for previously (see here
for more information), this client invited us in to renovate a large
portion of their home including the kitchen, bathroom (see
here for before and after photographs)
and cloakroom WC.
We were asked to propose a design to drag this 70s kitchen
kicking and screaming into the 21st Century. Working with our partner Howdens Joinery Co we came up with a
design, proposed a specification and then fitted the kitchen.
AWI designed, helped specify, supplied the cabinetry & appliances
and installed this
kitchen.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the existing kitchen, wall & floor
covering
- Re-plumbing including as required including for
the sink, hob and dishwasher
- Gas service alterations which were performed by
our Gas-Safe
registered fitter
- Re-wiring including provision of a new RCD
protected consumer unit (fuse box), provision of a new oven circuit
and new ring main within the kitchen
- Framing up of the old window next to the door to
allow the integrated fridge to be installed
- Framing up of the service hatch and making good
on both sides
- Plastering of the ceiling and walls
- Painting of the ceiling and walls
- Installation of the kitchen units, worktops
(including butt & scribe joints), appliances and sink
- Walls partly tiled as depicted
- Thermal insulation boards laid on the floor
- Under-tile heating laid and floor fully tiled
- Installation of under-cabinet lighting
