| Grange Road, Rawtenstall - Main
Bathroom
Following recommendation from another customer, this client asked us
to provide a quotation for a new central heating system and main
bathroom.
The requirement for the new bathroom was based on it's lack of bath
- our client had moved in some time since but a new job with more
responsibility had meant that the need to be able to relax was ever
more important, and for that a bath was required!
The central heating system was old and the boiler had failed on a
number of occasions - not only that but the hot water cylinder
occupied a large space in the bathroom meaning the installation of a
bath was impossible without some works taking place.
For the central heating system we suggested conversion to a
condensing combination boiler, a Viessman Vitodens 100 35KW model
with 5 year warranty and high hot water flow rates was chosen to
make bathing practical (some smaller combi boilers struggle to fill
baths in an adequate time frame) whilst the warranty would provide
peace of mind.
With the hot water cylinder out of the way, we were able to
demolish the airing cupboard and also the wall behind it which
adjoined the bedroom. This had been added in the past by
someone and had stolen a great deal of space from the bedroom whilst
not offering much to the bedroom. By demolishing and
re-building we were able to claw back approximately 1 foot in the
bedroom whilst making the space in the bathroom square and large
enough to install a bath.
Luxurious vanity units from Utopia complete with a solid surface
worktop and a clever Manhattan swift seal shower screen finish this
room off.
Our client is very impressed with the room and is now ready to
begin their new role!
