| Heys Court, Blackburn - Cloakroom WC
Addition Our client asked us whether it would be
possible to convert their under-stairs cupboard into a cloakroom WC
as they had young children and parents with walking difficulties -
this would be a welcome addition if possible.
Having surveyed the room, we concluded it was easily possible.
AWI designed, specified, supplied and installed this cloakroom.
Unfortunately, there are no before pictures in this project - not
much to see before anyhow, but the cameraman is once again to blame.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the shelving within and laminate
flooring
- Construction of a new stud wall at the back of
the cupboard to ensure that the WC head height would be suitable for
use
- Re-plumbing including re-building the soil stack
to allow the necessary waste connections, provision of hot and cold
water supplies
- Re-wiring including addition of a switch batten
light fitting with timed extractor fan to comply with building
regulations (when there is no opening window, a suitable fan MUST be
installed)
- All walls fully skimmed ready for paint
- Floor fully tiled (porcelain tiles)
- Installation of suite including WC and wall hung
basin
- Installation of skirting boards
