We were invited to provide a design and renovate this bathroom (look out in future for the en-suite which is in the process of being renovated now following successful completion of this room). 

Our customer provided us with a brief to retain the vanity units and to fully tile with the introduction of a power shower above the bath.  On this basis we specified an upgrade of the cold water store in the loft space, introduction of a high pressure pump and installation of a shower bath with double screens to create a shower enclosure within the bath - which would of course contain the additional spray common with power showers.

A new set of taps on the basin to match the bath taps and new WC cistern completed the transformation leaving a luxurious feeling room, which should not date in appearance any time soon.

AWI designed, specified, supplied and installed this bathroom.

From start to finish the job included:

• Additional framing in the loft space to extend the tank stand to support the additional 50 gallon cold water store
• Installation of a Salamander 3.3bar pump in the loft space including additional wiring and plumbing - the pump was soundproofed using acoustic deadening installation to ensure quiet operation - this pump feeds the bath and shower in the main bathroom and shower only in the en-suite
• Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor coverings
• Re-plumbing as required to support the new layout including addition of a shower
• Installation of PVC ceiling cladding
• Installation of 4 * 35w SELV halogen spot lights
• Installation of chrome effect inline extractor fan ducted outside
• Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
• Floor fully tiled (porcelain tiles)
• Installation of the new bathroom suite including replacement basin taps and waste, new concealed WC cistern, re-installation of the WC pan, P shaped shower bath with double screens, thermostatic mixer shower, shower tower which includes deluge head and moveable riser rail, towel radiator and accessories
