Many people would look at the before pictures for this bathroom and question why it was in need of renovation.  What isn't clear from the pictures is that our homeowner was not happy with the room - they found the walk in shower to be a little too open and at times cold in use.  They did not like not having a bath, given they may wish to sell the property and this may hinder sale as the home was in family proportions.

Having seen our work in person, this customer was more than happy to employ AWI to renovate the room to something more in their taste.  We think the new room looks great, more open and spacious due to the removal of the cupboard and the new layout.  Our customer will install bathroom friendly carpet at a later date to complete the transformation.

From start to finish the job included:

• Removal of the existing suite, wall and floor covering
• Demolition of the plywood sloping ceilings and cupboard
• Framing of a new lowered ceiling to a height of 2.5m
• Preparation of the walls including re-dry-lining as required
• Re-plumbing as required to support the new layout
• Installation of PVC ceiling cladding
• Installation of a 5 * IPx4 mains voltage halogen down-lighters and re-installation of the existing shower fan/light combination
• Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
• Installation of the new bathroom suite including bath, shower enclosure, re-installation of the original electric shower, basin with shower arrangement to facilitate hair washing, WC, heated towel rail, original radiator and accessories
