| Nutter Road, Accrington - Shower Room
Our third job in the same street, this client saw our vans parked
outside an adjacent property and called us in to provide a
quotation.
Originally they had planned to move house but some problems
during the move on the builders part meant they didn't move and then
the slump in the market proved that they had fallen lucky in not
moving.
Given that they are due to stay here for some time they decided
to treat themselves to a bathroom more suited to their tastes and
needs.
The awquard layout of the room meant there was no feasible way to
fit a standard shower screen and our client didn't want another
curtain. We suggested using a clever design by Novellini where
the shower screen wraps around you creating an enclosure if you will
above the bath.
AWI designed, specified, supplied & installed this bathroom.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor
covering
- Lowering of the ceiling to a height of 2.4m to
loose the curve in the original ceiling where it meets the walls
- Ceiling plastered and painted
- Walls plaster-boarded ready for tiling
- Installation of new central IPX4 light fitting
- Installation of extractor fan ducted outside
- Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
- Floor overlaid with plywood ready for the
installation of lino flooring (which will happen at a later date)
- Installation of vanity units from Utopia as
depicted
- Installation of the new bathroom suite including
bath with shower above, WC, basin and towel rail
