Having been recommended by friends this customer approached us to renovate their main bathroom.

They wanted a shower enclosure with a decent shower and some storage to keep their belongings in.

We suggested a large (90cm) shower enclosure complete with pumped thermostatic shower and Utopia vanity units complete with semi-recessed basin and concealed cistern WC.

While removing the existing suite, we found that the previous fitter had cut through 3 joists, removing approximately 45% material from each making them incredibly dangerous (the maximum permissable notch is 12.5% and that is subject to other conditions).  So whilst on-site we re-enforced the joists by laminating them with new joists which were bolted and glued into place.

AWI designed, specified, supplied & installed this bathroom.

From start to finish the job included:

• Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor covering
• Cladding of the ceiling with PVC ceiling cladding
• Installation of 4 spotlights and separately switched extractor fan
• Plaster-boarding of the walls in readiness for tiling
• Installation of new shower pump in airing cupboard including additional pipework and wiring
• Installation of vanity units as depicted
• Installation of electric shaver point mounted inside one of the vanity unit cupboards and lit mirror
• Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
• Floor fully tiled (porcelain tiles)
• Installation of the new bathroom suite including shower, WC, basin and towel rail
