| Lowbank, Printers Fold, Burnley - Main
Bathroom A past customer (see
here for more information) having
moved house had already made up their minds that after being
impressed with their previous experience with us, they would ask us
to renovate the bathrooms in their new property.
We were invited to provide a design and specification to renovate
the main bathroom, second en-suite and also to perform some
additional works in the master en-suite and cloakroom WC - speaking
volumes about their confidence in our ability to provide good
service and workmanship.
The old main bathroom was a bizarre layout, a combination of dark
vanity units which were bulky due to the soil and vent pipe running
in the pipe-casing to the left of the window. We suggested
removing this pipe-casing by concealing the soil & vent pipe (in a
reduced size) in the walls leaving the room square and open to a
more spacious layout.
Our customer chose bright tiles for the walls to lift the room
with a simple mosaic stripe running behind the bath taps to draw the
eyes, lastly a Karndean floor finishes the whole look.
AWI designed, helped specify, supplied & installed this bathroom.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor
covering
- Re-plumbing to eliminate the pipe-casing for the
soil & vent pipe
- Installation of white high-gloss PVC ceiling
cladding
- Installation of 4 * IPX4 SELV down-lighters
- Re-plumbing to provide for the new room layout
- Construction and subsequent tiling of the bath
surround ends
- Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
- Installation of the new bathroom suite including
bath, WC, basin, and chrome towel rail
