En-suite Bathroom/Wetroom Time for a change and in this
case, a stunning wet-room. The en-suite though functional was
starting to look tired and our customer elected to "operate" in
order to save it from driving them crazy!
We were asked to design a bathroom which incorporated clean
lines, a wet-area with high pressure showering and storage. We
suggested replacing the shower tray with a fully tiled wet area
complete with a showering solution which allowed a fixed head,
moving head and/or body jets (4 of) to be operated to give the
ultimate shower. This was separated from the rest of the room
via a Merlyn Series 7 shower wall.
We suggested skimming and painting the ceiling, installing 5 spot
lights and a new 5" quiet yet powerful extractor fan. Lastly,
we specified storage in the form of Utopia vanity units including
toilet roll unit, concealed cistern WC, sit-on basin and large
contoured corner cabinet.
Whilst working on this bathroom we were also asked to tile the
main bathroom floor, replace the bath taps and bath panel to help
lift the room - not pictured.
AWI designed, supplied, specified and installed this bathroom.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor
covering
- Under-boarding and plastering of the Artex
ceiling
- Painting of the ceiling with kitchen/bathroom
paint
- Installation of 6 * IPX4 SELV chrome
down-lighters
- Re-plumbing to support the new layout
- Construction of the wet-area including installing
the under-tile tray and tanking (waterproofing) the area
- Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
- Floor fully tiled (porcelain tiles)
- Installation of vanity units as depicted
- Installation of the new bathroom suite including
glass divider to the wet area, shower arrangement, basin,
WC & towel radiator
