| Sough Road, Darwen - Main Bathroom
We were invited into this property after working for the sister of
our customer (see here for more
information) - testimony to the quality of service and workmanship
we provide.
This room was very tired, suffering from damp and mould and badly in
need of renovating. The house itself is a period property and
our customer wanted to keep the bathroom in keeping with the other
decoration throughout.
The requirements for the room were similar to that already in place
- a bath (with shower above for the grandchildren), a separate
shower cubicle, vanity sink and WC. The room was to be part
tiled to allow the remainder to be painted which of course means
that our customer can re-paint and add new accessories to give a
whole new look once in a while.
We planned the room out, moving the bath to the opposite side and
aligning the shower, basin and WC along one wall to give greater
floor area without loss of function.
We found a lot of hidden nasties including a rotten joist,
completely un-suitable MDF flooring (MDF hates water) and so as we
went along we made good. We left the room ready for lino (or
similar) which our customer is sorting out at a later date.
We and our customer are really pleased with the room.
