Well, being tactful is something we are good at but we really
struggled with this room - our customer had moved in recently and
had been working their way through the house - the bathroom was the
last job and ... well it needed it.
Somehow, the room was stuck in a 50s time-warp and we were given
the task of freeing the room - our customer specified no bath just a
shower given the lack of space and some furniture for storage.
We took that brief and decided to re-arrange everything within
the room to maximise the space.
Our customer is very happy with the final result as are we.
AWI designed, specified, supplied and installed this bathroom.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor
covering
- Demolition of the old boiler cupboard
- Removal of the old sliding door mechanism and
hanging of a new pine door
- Making good of the walls in preparation for
tiling
- Framing and boarding of the ceiling to lower the
height to 2.6m
- Installation of PVC ceiling cladding in white
gloss
- Installation of 6 * spotlights and a 4" remote motor fan
- Re-plumbing as required to support the new layout
including re-building the soil stack and running the soil pipe under
the floor
- Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
- Floor fully tiled (porcelain tiles) including
installation of Warmup under-floor heating system
- Installation of the new bathroom suite including
vanity units as pictured, Merlyn shower enclosure, thermostatic shower,
