| Timberhurst, Bury - Main
Bathroom Having been recommended by a work colleague,
we were subsequently asked to provide a design and quote for this
client.
Our customer provided us with a brief to replace the bath with a
new one with shower/tap arrangement (for dog washing - as a breeder
of German Shepherds this was important) and add a separate shower
enclosure - moving the basin if needed.
We proposed moving the basin under the window to allow us to
install an offset quadrant shower enclosure which gives a good space
to shower in without over-powering the room. Installing a
towel rail in place of the old radiator and tiling with some lovely
effervescent tiles our client picked really brightened this room up.
Due to the amount of plumbing works under the floor including
central heating pump, tiling is not practical in this case - our
customer will install Rhino-floor or equivalent at a later date
AWI designed, specified, supplied and installed this bathroom.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor
coverings
- Framing in the loft space to move the cold water
storage tank as high up as possible to increase the hot water
pressure

electric shower supply
- Re-plumbing as required to support the new layout
including addition of a shower and moving of the CWS in the loft
- Installation of PVC ceiling cladding

- Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
- Installation of the new bathroom suite including
basin/pedestal,
