| Townsway, Lostock Hall Having
already renovated our homeowner's parents' house (see
here for more information), we were invited to
carry out the renovation of this tiny and very tired bathroom.
As in so many properties we see, the builder's had done a
splendid job of building the biggest, and most un-necessary bulkhead
ever known to mankind just to conceal a few small pipes which with a
bit of thought could have been concealed anyway.
We were asked to design a new which would make the most of the
small room.
We removed most of the bulkhead, only leaving the necessary soil
pipe vent concealing part which acts as our corner toilet back.
We then wall hung the basin to increase the floor space and fitted a
P shaped shower bath. A stunning result, with our homeowner
very pleased with the increased feel of space and usability.
AWI designed, specified, supplied and installed this bathroom.
From start to finish the job included:
- Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor
coverings
- Demolition of the bulkhead behind the sink
- Re-plumbing as required to support the new layout
- Walls fully tiled (ceramic tiles)
- Installation of the new bathroom suite including
Rak Evolution corner WC, wall hung basin, P shaped shower bath with
screen, thermostatic mixer shower, towel radiator and
accessories
