This room was suffering severely from damp problems - there was a combination of driving/rising damp (which our customer is sorting out separately) and damp occurring due to a failed shower valve and failed seal on the bath.

Our customer clearly knew what they wanted - a half tiled room, similarly laid out but with a shower rather than a bath.

Our customer chose some real good quality & well designed items including a back-to-wall WC with rear filler (no visible pipe-work), a wall hung basin with semi-pedestal, a digital remote pack thermostatic shower (where the main body of the shower valve is hidden - in this case in a cupboard outside the room) and some amazing stone effect tiles.

Whilst onsite we also removed and replaced damaged plasterboard on the outside of the room (the damp had caused that much trouble) and replaced the skirting boards (rotten from the damp).

AWI designed, supplied, specified and installed this bathroom.

From start to finish the job included:

• Removal of the existing suite, wall & floor covering
• Re-plumbing to support the new layout
• Whole room dry-lined and then skimmed ready to receive decoration (which our customer carried out in the evenings)
• Installation of 4 * IPX4 SELV downlighters
• Installation of extractor fan ducted outside
• Replacement of the existing shaver socket with a chrome one
• Walls partly tiled (ceramic tiles)
• Floor fully tiled (porcelain tiles)
• Installation of the new bathroom suite including shower enclosure with Aqualisa digital shower, WC, wall hung basin with semi-pedestal and chrome towel rail
